The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 11-16-2024 at approximately 6:47 pm, their office received a report of a one-vehicle accident on Sage Road, approximately five miles south of Hillman, MN in Mount Morris Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Robert Rothfork of Foley, MN was traveling south on Sage Road. Rothfork’s vehicle went in the ditch and when emergency responders arrived, he was unresponsive, not breathing. Emergency responders performed lifesaving efforts on Rothfork and were able to get a pulse at the scene. Rothfork was transported to St Cloud Hospital by Life Link III.
Sheriff Larsen states that this was a tragic accident for everyone involved. Emergency responders acted swiftly and performed life-saving measures. Sadly, despite all efforts, Rothfork passed away.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the MN State Patrol, Pierz Fire Department, MLMB First Response Team, Life Link III and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
