The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 12-6-2023 at approximately 10:28 am, their office received a report of an accident at a firewood processing facility off 233rd Street, approximately seven miles north of Little Falls, MN in Fort Ripley Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Hector Gonzalez Zelaya of Little Falls, MN was found trapped in a firewood processing machine by co-workers. Deputies and First Responders arrived and attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful and the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Sheriff Larsen stated that he wanted to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a role at the scene. Despite the tragic ending, everyone’s commitment and dedication was truly appreciated. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim.
