The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 9-1-2024 at approximately 9:23 pm, their office received a report of an ATV crash with injuries on 243rd Street west of 320th Avenue, approximately one mile east of Harding, MN in Pulaski Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Cory Loidolt of Pierz, MN was driving a side-by-side east on 243rd Street. Loidolt lost control of the side-by-side and went into the south ditch causing it to roll over. Loidolt was air lifted to St. Cloud Hospital by North Air Care with unknown injuries. Alcohol is believed to be involved; this case is under investigation.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Pierz Fire Department, Sullivan Lake First Response Team, North Air Care and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen stated that this latest ATV accident marks the 9th incident reported to his office this year. Of these reported incidents, three have resulted in fatalities. Sheriff Larsen urges all ATV enthusiasts to take safety measures seriously to prevent further accidents. Avoiding risky behavior and understanding the local laws and regulations regarding ATV use is something that everyone needs to adhere to.
