The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 6-30-2024 at approximately 9:24 pm, their office received a report of an ATV accident on South Platte Lake Drive, approximately ten miles north of Hillman, MN in Richardson Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Madison Nystel of Woodbury, MN was driving an ATV on South Platte Lake Drive. Nystel lost control on the dirt road and was ejected from the ATV. Nystel was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Air Care with unknown injuries. Nystel was not wearing a helmet.
Sheriff Larsen states this is an unfortunate event and serves as a reminder of the importance of safety when operating ATV’s. Please follow the traffic laws and be familiar with the equipment that you are operating. We want ATV riding to remain a safe and enjoyable activity for everyone. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim.
